There is a bit of it on the S4 soundtrack in parts of Daybreak.

@sighedtosleep

It first appears in the season 2 epsiode Fragged (Martial Law on the season 2 soundtrack) it crops up again in Among the Ruins and Baltar's Sermon on the season 4 soundtrack. It crops up a few more times in the series but those are the soundtrack uses for it.

@CommanderSizer

Check out Aleck Karis' recording of it, back when I first saw the episode I did a lot of googling and listened to about a dozen or so different recordings and that one was my favourite.

I like to pretend that this is the missing 2nd movement from Dreilide Thrace's Sonata No. 1 (Sonata and Elegy on the S4 soundtrack being movements 1 and 3). The sonata is much more influenced by the likes of Debussy, Ravel and Satie and all of those 19th century composers working in france (Ravel gets dumped in with them because he worked a lot in France despite being spanish) but Elegy is much closer to the likes of Phillip Glass.

As for stuff I'd like to see on a 'bonus CD' type release:

Nomion's Third, 2nd Movement (Noodles of it heard in Someone to Watch Over Me and more in Caprica)
Watchtower from Sometimes A Great Notion (The Trippy Flashback Mix)
Baltar's entrance music/The Baxter Sarno theme from Colonial Day
S'more of the guitar stuff with Brendan's vocals from Pegasus
More of Tigh's theme (Like the bit in Final Cut)
Anything with Tyrol's theme (Like the bit where Eight has that virtual house in her head in Someone to Watch Over Me)
Kara's Waltz from Someone to Watch Over Me (I have a soft spot for pretty piano music... sue me)
Something with Duck's theme/the New Caprica theme (I loved that theme, particularly when it gets used again in season 4)
Some stuff from The Woman King in season 3 (Helo's theme FTW)
The Mutiny on the Demetrius music (that was pretty bad-ass)
Memorial Ceremonies from Islanded in a Stream of Stars (An updated version like Admiral & Commander is to A Good Lighter)

I did a re-watch last year and made a list...

Lee/Kara goodbye - Six of One
Cally/Tyrol love theme
Tyrol theme
Ellen Tigh theme - Escape Velocity
Simon's death - The Plan
Romo Lampkin theme
Lords of Kobol (original version as on TV) - Pegasus
The Body
Mourning Dualla

The names of the last two were mentioned on the blog I think

It might have been mentioned already, but the nuclear stand-off music from the opening scene of Rapture.

Love the slowed down "Blood on the Scales" theme in Gaeta's last scene with Baltar.

Hi All, 1st post.

Been trying for the last few days to find a way to contact Bear, then I found this dedicated forum.

We watched BSG (3rd time now) and just ended with Daybreak a few weeks ago. I noticed the music during the END CREDITs is not on any of the BSG OST's, let alone S4. Love it. I have run across ~ 9 tracks on the web which claim to be unreleased BSG music. They all sound very legit and amazing. Just wish there was *MORE*.

Bear,
Any word on when this might be available for purchase? I have been waiting for something like this for soooo long. Better yet, make it hi def audio.

BETTER YET, re-release all the BSG sound tracks in hidef audio and have the unreleased material added to it. It could be a HUGE multi-CD/DVD/Bluray compilation. I would be will to pay a pretty lofty figure for such a collection and bet others would be too!!!!!

PuhLEEZE !!! :)
