I have been struggling with some dental problems, and I haven't been able to see the last episode, but I got two text messages from Maintitles members that the kazoo was featured in the latest episode.
I'm going to watch it tonight and then read the blog entry.

I can't wait to hear 'our' kazoo, played on one of your soundtracks...

Yes, saw " Kazoo "...woo hoo..you mad scientist of a genius...lol...and it looks like one of our fellow admins / moderators is famous and made her debut to the big screen.....

And Bear, that 2 octave sound reminds me of a low note didgeridoo and from a very short scene in Ghostbusters 2. A policeman is on the phone, starts talking to another officer and you hear him say " The Titanic just arrived. The sound from the horns on the ship is kind of hard to hear over the soundtrack but it is still possible to hear it.

Bear, Bear, Bear, ...

You "bought" a kazoo? You are going to need to explain that one to me...

Other then that, great video blog. You cracked me up with the ending. Seriously, that was hilarious stuff.

To be honest, I didn't catch the kazoo in the soundtrack. To be honest I didn't catch a lot of score. Mostly because the scenes were either non-scored (and that stood out and worked really well) or because the scenes were that crazily scary that my attention was elsewhere. This series has the possibility to seriously creep me out.

I will go through the episode again and watch out for the kazoo. Will it return in the following episodes as well?



Yep, that would be me and my fellow friends from Maintitles. You guys should really check out that website if you love all things soundtrack. It's a website with some good reviews, a great forum and a wonderful, humoristic bunch of people of which some have become a nice group of friends to me.
Only, not enough McCreary fans out there... Besides Maxime (whom you met in Tenerife, Bear, if you remember), I'm know at Maintitles as the resident Bear-nut, a title I wear proudly .

Yes, I couldn't resist the "We Bought a Kazoo" pun. Too funny to resist.

As for the cue, it's hard to hear in the episode. You'll actually hear the kazoo choir again loud and clear in a few episodes. That's the better chance to hear it.

There's not lot of international known extra talented composers you can challenge to use a kazoo for the score of a show. I'm so amazed, amused and impressed by this.

What for the next season ? Ukulele ? Vuvuzella ? Crystal glasses ? Bottles ? Pans ? Carpets ?

Vuvuzella??? That would be fantastic!!
