Hey guys, so I'm starting to think about assembling a soundtrack album for THE WALKING DEAD.

What are the cues you think should go on the album?

I'm hoping to eventually release a soundtrack that includes music from both Season 1 and Season 2. So, as the new season airs, try to think listen for cues that you think would be good on the soundtrack album.

Thanks!

Definitely the song that is played during the end sequence of "TS-19". I like smooth sounding, melancholy tracks like that and you did a fantastic job of capturing the desperation and hopelessness of the sequence. Do you have a title for that particular track?

Well the insane cello+bass ensemble from Vatos has to make it in! Mercy of the Living obviously must go on as well. I also do love the cue as Amy dies. That was one of the most distressing scenes for me, ever, and mostly thanks to the contrast between the peaceful music and emotional turmoil. I know I'll feel it again each time I listen to it.

When it comes to the more terrifying cues, I love the ones from the "gut walking" scene in season one, and the entire highway scene in season two. Those are definitely two tracks I would love to see in the soundtrack album. There are also several key emotional scenes throughout the series. But I have no preference. All in all, I think this album is a long time coming, and can't wait to see it released. Fantastic music! I'll keep listening!

Watching S1E3 (Tell It to the Frogs), I thought the cue from Grimes meeting his family and the one over the ending couple of scenes stood out.

A Walking Dead Soundtrack for Season One and Two....I think you knew I have been asking for this since I heard they were coming back with another season and you were scoring it again. Here is a list of cues I would love on this CD:
Season One
Main Title
Mercy of the Living
Cello Lead Line
Attack of the Vatos Ostinato
Violin Textures
Electric Guitar and Banjo
TS-19 (the cue that shows the video of Brain Waves)
Season 2
Rick's Speech to Morgan
RV
Dale and Andrea
Carl's Buck

Look forward to hearing more of Season 2's music. Like the way the music is progressing. Brillant stuff Bear!!

Some great ideas thus far! I'm curious to know what you guys think of the music in the next few episodes. :)

I'd really like to have the score from the scene in S01E05 (Wildfire) when Amy reawakens as a walker included on the CD.

Mercy of the Living must be included.
I'm so glad you decided on releasing an actual soundtrack CD. Best news!

EDIT: Oh, and "The Hand" would be awesome, too.
