I hunger for this CD! I'll be the first one in line :)

I have to say, in terms of buying CD albums, your music is the only stuff I still buy on disc instead o f iTunes. The presentation always kicks ass (i.e. liner notes, etc...). Keep it up!

Same here! I love the booklets and liner notes for the BSG soundtracks.

Thanks! The La La Land guys and I feel the same way, that the booklet is a big part of the presentation. I'm still super proud of the booklet we got together for the BSG season 4 album. it felt kinda like a yearbook. :)

I would absolutely kill for a very long version of Battlestar Sonatica, I thought I remember reading on the blog a few years ago that you had recorded endless variations and just doodles,

I often have the Sonatica on loop at my apartment (if only the walls were made of metal). However it starts to sound too familiar after not too long. I would love to have a version that was 20-30 minutes, even more! Nothing fancy or very structured, just very ambient.

What adds to my love of "Battlestar Sonatica" are the scenes from the episode "Torn" when you first hear it. There is something very surreal and hypnotizing about seeing the cylon basestars moving in space.

Hoping for an update on this too, while I'm posting about getting updates.

Is there any hope for recording sessions of music already released? Some tracks differ wildly between show and CD.

Yeah, and Lords of Kobol also was significanty different on-screen.
But Bear has already commented on some occasions that he likes his 'remastered' versions better than the ones on-screen, so I'm not too sure we'll get those versions on the extra cd.
But asking never hurt ;)

The only onscreen version Bear has committed to get for us is the onscreen arrangement of Watchtower which is missing a whole verse and mixed somewhat differently.

Well, whatever is possible I'll gladly accept. I listen to the Battlestar soundtracks every day and any extra music, recording session or remastered, would be such a great addition.

I always get kind of sad when I buy a soundtrack and there's stuff missing; in the case of Hans Zimmer soundtracks he tends to leave out most of his music for some reason. So then the cues are ripped from the DVD and altered to have the sound effects and dialogue removed but so much quality is lost and even then, a lot of the background stuff remains.
