I thought I'd go ahead and create a new forum for this one, hoping the Pilot will spawn an entire new series, that will be on par With BSG and Caprica... Now, Bear, give us the scoop. I know the music will be great, but what's the Pilot like? Is it any good? Or are we in for early cancellation? Should we get our hopes up, or not too much? Spill the beans, man. It's us you are talking to . Elin

Will there be any hints (random bits of dialogue, news stories, etc) about some of the stuff that was supposed to happen in Caprica Season 2?

Elin When it comes to SyFy and most broadcast tv in general, high quality quite often does not mean ratings success. Just look at the absurd success of reality shows for evidence. Anyway, thank you for the news Bear about you scoring the 2 hour pilot for B&C. I'm sure the music will be fantastic and I hope to hear more brilliant music that is reminiscent of the "Husker" theme from Razor.

This is so odd because as of a press conference in January, they were trying to figure out how to pay for filming the rest of it. (this announcement of Bear's suggests filming and most of fx are done).
But I am ecstatic to hear this!

The big mystery now is if the 2 hour pilot will actually be aired on tv or if it will only be on the web. No public information on that yet either way.

Hey guys,
I don't know anything about the fate of the pilot, but I can say that everything I've seen and heard looks and sounds amazing. You guys are going to really like the score. It definitely feels like "BSG" but has unique, new sounds in it too. I really enjoyed working on it. More details to follow soon I hope.

Update: The pilot will start this Friday. It will be released as 10 7-12 minute episodes on Youtube before it gets shown as a near 2-hour film on SyFy, then a DVD release (and hopefully Blu-Ray - I had to buy Caprica from France). Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj50xJhWdcMThe music in the trailer is brilliant.
