Small update: after two weeks we have collected more than 2300 'likes' on FB.
That's not bad, but not super either.

We should get some more people to like this page. Common people, go to the the facebook page and hit the like button.

Sure hope not, but haven't heard an update.

Seriously, I think they are insane for at least not doing a limited pressing of this. I'd say if nothing else, wait for Emmy nominations and hope it gets nominated, it might give it some more steam.

Does this have something to do with it being on AMC?

I've realized there's also no Mad Men or Breaking Bad OST's (Although they're not as "present" as the OST in a series like Walking Dead has been).

Could that have something to do with it?

Keep up the energy you guys. If enough fans click on this, I think we can make something happen!

@Fr33man There's been 2 soundtrack and 2 score releases for Mad Men. The score releases by David Carbonara (his name makes me hungry) are actually pretty awesome. He also includes a recording of the theme tune in the style of the score on both recordings (You want Mad Men: The Score and Mad Men: After Hours - Volumes 1 and 2 are the soundtrack releases which actually have some pretty cool stuff plus a couple of score cues which aren't on the score albums)

For Breaking Bad there is a soundtrack release which includes about a half dozen tracks by Dave Porter but there's no dedicated score release for it.

But yeah, it would seem that AMC aren't huge on music releases for their shows. They did a pretty awesome score release for The Prisoner a few years back (Score by Rupert Gregson-Williams - yes, brother of Harry Gregson-Williams) But yeah, they don't seem to offer the same sort of support as the likes of SyFy or Fox do (Thinking particularly of Warehouse 13 and Fringe which have both been fairly well represented in terms of score releases)

We can still hold out hope though.

I certainly hope there is a soundtrack for Seasons 1 & 2! Last season was absolutely amazing...can't wait for the start-up of Season 3 in October. Hopefully we can have some progress on a soundtrack by the time the new season rolls around. I have already joined and "liked" the Facebook page for requesting the soundtrack!

Thanks
Jeremy

Hey guys, so I'm starting to think about assembling a soundtrack album for THE WALKING DEAD.

What are the cues you think should go on the album?

I'm hoping to eventually release a soundtrack that includes music from both Season 1 and Season 2. So, as the new season airs, try to think listen for cues that you think would be good on the soundtrack album.

Thanks!

To be honest the best soundtracks are the ones that include EVERYTHING. Huge fans, like myself, want to hear every scrap of music, every song - every part of the filmmaker and composers vision. I love Mccreary's score for the series and would like to be able to have everything he composed for the series. :)
