Anybody out there check out Dark Void Zero? It's my first fully 8-bit score. What a blast! I still listen to it a lot.

I've rarely had so much fun writing music. It's impossible for me to turn down any project that lets me bust out the 8 or 16 bit game console synthesis. I wish I could do more of them! :)

I know that this probably isn’t what you were going for, but I find the score for Dark Void Zero to be adorable. For me it’s incredibly nostalgic, taking me back to when I had an old Sega Master System and playing games like The Ninja and Sonic the Hedgehog and you got these fantastically memorable musical ideas because the music had to be interesting without having the resources of recorded orchestras and soloists. I’m kinda sad that I never got to play the game, I get the feeling it would have been fun to play.

I'll take "adorable." That's a perfect word for it. :)
