Doing the Carnival of Crime music was a blast. I've rarely been able to just let go and go crazy on a score like that. Plus, it forced me to learn to play Hurdy Gurdy. And those were definitely some of my favorite scenes.

But, my personal favorite scene might have been the scenes with Cain, the master assassin who is also a French cook. He looked like a lead singer in a metal band, spoke with a French accent and let me bust out the amplified accordion. What's not to love?

Oh, and basically every frame that Keith David is on screen ruled.

Love the Carnival of Crime music as well as the Kozmo theme, especially the full statement of the Russian dance music. I was sad it didn't last longer :)

For this one, my answers are one and the same. The Carnival of Crime. I love the scene in the show, it’s just all kinds of awesome, bank-robbing raccoons FTW! And the Carnival of Crime theme is so much fun (and so bloody hard to play). I just loved how fun that scene felt and the music just takes me back to that sense of fun and now I want the Carnival’s theme to play whenever I enter a room. It’s a shame we didn’t get more of the series as a whole, it really put me in the mind of the Tim Burton/Danny Elfman Batmans, it was dark but not overly so and kinda quirky. I miss The Cape *epic sadface*

I haven't had a chance to get to know all the music yet, but two early favorites are Waltz for Raia and Rube Goldberg Death Machine. Those pieces plus the main theme and the family theme make a great little suite!

Sorry I killed the discussion. I swear it was an accident.

Glad you stepped forward and claimed responsibility...

You are forgiven, though

I've been going through some cues for THE CAPE, putting together a playlist of inspiration tracks for a new project I'm working on. What's funny is that the more exotic cues are not really standing out this time around. This time, I'm really struck by some of the simpler, more subdued tracks. "No Journey Too Far" and "Justice Takes Time" for example... these are some of the most beautiful cues I've done. They're epic, but tragic and simple at the same time. Odd that after doing all that bombastic action music, these are the cues that are speaking to me now...

Damn, I'm never going to get this quote thingy down...

When I read that sentence my heart skipped a beat (seriously). I HOPE this means a project that involves a live concert where a hurdy gurdy is played. I won't sleep tonight. Sigh.

Feeling like a little kid... :D
