Hello Bear,
I've followed your blog the past few years, and find it exciting that you share your composing methods and so actively engage with your readers. Needless to say, I'm a large fan of your music. It is thrilling to hear such powerful, emotionally compelling music on television programs.
As you probably have already chosen the cues for the upcoming album, I have a question regarding the album arrangement. As I was going back through the episodes to think of suggestions, I became curious about the way you would conclude the "Daybreak" soundtrack. In your corresponding blog, you wrote that you felt the scene with Adama on the hill was the "emotional" ending to the show, while the "150,000 Years Later" scene was the "conceptual" ending. For me, the "Passacaglia" theme in the first ending definitely has the makings of a powerful musical ending, whereas the following piece is more a transitional cue. If you include both on the album, would you find it more important to arrange the cues chronologically or for the best listening experience?
I'll throw in two suggestions anyway. "Starbuck's Funeral Pyre" from "Sometimes a Great Notion" and "Adama Retaking the Ship" from "Blood on the Scales" were two of my favorite cues from Season 4.5. And I don't need to mention the awesome music from "Someone to Watch Over Me." Thanks for letting your fans be part of your musical process.

Bear, thaks for your wonderful music.
I really really want this cd to include the wonderful violin them from the hub.
the first time I heard it I thought, waow what is this music? it is when there is this battle, before Baltar is hurt. please leave it on the cd please.
I think you really should make a double cd, in one you can't get everything, and your fans (me included of course) will be sooo sad.

Hey Bear. I do have...two suggestions. The mixed version of All Along the Watchtower (Daybreak Part II - Jump to New Earth scene) and the score while Kara is running through Galactica to stop Lee airlocking the Final Five in 'Revelations' I believe.

Thanks!

Bear, you are awesome! I would love to have on there the duet between Starbuck & her father from "Someone to Watch Over Me" please; that whole scene where it meanders into the "All Along The Watch Tower" song. It gives me goose bumps every time I hear it. Thanks!

Bear,

I already know you're including the cue where the fleet flies into the sun. I suggest the title GALACTICA'S GLORY.

Also, a nice concert version (not live) of the many versions of A GOOD LIGHTER. I love the orchestration in Daybreak II where Adama leaves the GALACTICA for the final time and you hear it as he is boarding his Viper to go. Very emotionally charged and beautiful. I love this version the best now. And incorporating such a powerfully moving orchestration to the original GALACTICA theme mades this track a must have for the fans.

Thank you for including it.

:-)
